About Naomi Rankin

Naomi is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering (CaSE), the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University and an inaugural Vivien Thomas Scholar. She is advised by Dr. Lauren Gardner. Trained at Howard University, her research focuses on utilizing non-traditional datasets to understand infectious disease dynamics and public health. She is passionate about using data for good and understanding differences in health outcomes across populations.
